Why I Became a Personal Trainer

I've spent over 10 years helping men and women over 40 lose weight, build strength and rediscover a confidence they thought was gone for good. But I didn't start my career already knowing all the answers.

I became a personal trainer because I saw, again and again, how much confusion and misinformation was out there — and how many people were working incredibly hard with very little to show for it. Not because they lacked commitment, but because the advice they were following wasn't right for them.

My approach has always been simple: understand the person in front of me first, then build a plan that works for their specific body, life and goals. No templates. No generic advice. No trends chased for their own sake.

Over the years, my work has evolved to focus particularly on men and women over 40 — a group who are often underserved by mainstream fitness, and who face genuinely different physiological challenges that most PT training doesn't cover adequately.

My Specialism: Menopause Coaching

Menopause coaching is a growing part of my work — and something I feel passionately about. I've seen the devastating effect that poor information and generic fitness advice can have on women navigating this transition. I've invested heavily in specialist education to ensure that what I provide is evidence-based, genuinely helpful and delivered with real empathy.

Working with women during perimenopause and menopause is some of the most rewarding coaching I do. When a client tells me she feels like herself again — that is everything.
